The 2021 Reading Challenge from Visual Theology was originally brought to my attention by Tim Challies' blog:
The Reading Challenge is for all kinds of book-worms and aims to help people diversify their libraries. Those that participate in the reading challenge will read from all kinds of books: biographies, novels, finances, theology, social justice, etc. And with different levels/availability of reading comes different levels of the challenge.
The Light Reader- works to read 13 books a year, 1 book every 4 weeks
The Avid Reader- another 13 books are added on, making it 26 total in a year, 1 book every 2 weeks
The Committed Reader- reads 52 books for the entire year, 1 book every week.
The Obsessed Reader- works to read a total of 104 books in the entire year, 2 books for every week.
Personally, I hope to work on being a "committed reader," working on at least 1 book every week and 52-60 books within the year. For more information check out Challies' blog above.
